Immi Sikand

Immi Sikand has acquired over a decade of experience focusing exclusively on Canadian and cross-border immigration matters. She provides expertise and strategic advice regarding Canadian and U.S. work permits, permanent residence visas, citizenship and inadmissibility issues.
Immi has published numerous immigration-related articles and has been interviewed by newspapers, web magazines and on television addressing a broad range of immigration issues. She has testified as an expert in immigration law in family court regarding the impact of spousal sponsorship undertakings.
In addition to her legal work, Immi was selected by the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade to work in East Africa at the Zanzibar Legal Services Centre in a Professional Internship Program in 2002 and she is a former co-chair of the South Asian Legal Clinic Ontario (SALCO).
Immi completed a B.A. in Honours Economics from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario and an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto, Ontario and is licensed to practice law in Ontario, Canada.
