U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services has updated the H-1B count.  As of July 23, 2010, the Service has received approximately 26,000 H-1B cap-subject petitions and approximately 11,300 H-1B petitions for individuals with advanced degrees.

USCIS updated its count of FY 2011 cap-subject H-1B petitions and advanced degree cap-exempt petitions receipted. As of 7/16/10, approximately 25,300 H-1B cap-subject petitions were receipted. As of July 9, 2010, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services has receipted approximately 24,800 H-1B cap-subject petitions.  In addition, the Service has accepted roughly 10,600 H-1B petitions for indivduals who hold advanced degrees.
