Revised U.S. Naturalization Test Fully Implemented

Effective October 1, 2009, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) all citizenship applicants are required to take the newly designed naturalization test. The new naturalization test was launched on October 1, 2008 and applicants who filed prior to October 1, 2009 had a choice of taking the old or new test. However, USCIS has issued a reminder to applicants that as of October 1, 2009 all applicants are required to take the new naturalization exam, which has an overall pass rate of 91%.
