Careers in Canada

Over the past few years Canada has experienced dynamic growth and activity in industries such as Information Technology (IT), Engineering, Financial and Film Production.

In Canada, skilled professionals in particular industries have become more difficult to find due to the global technology boom of the 90s. Corporations are faced with the challenge of seeking out their team beyond the ocean borders. The corporate talent leaders are no longer found just in Canada and the United States.

The North American career market has emerged as a widely recognized international talent pool. The immigration law firm of the Bomza Law Group takes pride in welcoming and assisting you to a promising career and future in a new country.

We respond to the escalating labour demands in Canada. We assist our talented and experienced skilled professionals by familiarizing and introducing you to the growing Canadian employment market.

Applying for Social Insurance Number (SIN) & Health Card Coverage

A Social Insurance Number (SIN) is required in order to work in Canada. This card can be applied for at any local Human Resources office. Offices are located in all major cities in Canada. Application for your card is no charge. You will receive a slip confirming that application, and your card will be mailed to you at a Canadian address. This takes roughly 6-8 weeks. Charges may apply for replacement of cards if lost or stolen. You may only apply for SIN cards for members of the family who have already arrived in Canada.

Health Card Coverage can be applied for at any local Provincial Health Care office. These offices are located in all major cities in every province and territory in Canada. Application for health card coverage is no charge. However, for most provinces and territories, health card coverage is only valid after 3 months from application date. Therefore, it is strongly suggested that you purchase temporary 3-month health care insurance for you and your family, upon your arrival in Canada. You can only apply for health cards for members of the family who have already arrived in Canada.
