Business Immigration

Permanent Resident Canada | Immigration To Canada

What Type of Business Visa Do I Qualify For?

There are several different business-related categories pursuant to which a Business person may apply for Canadian permanent residence including: the Investor category, the Entrepreneur Category and the Self-Employed category. Applicants must unequivocally demonstrate that they meet the definition, as set out in immigration legislation, for the category under which they apply. A strong application will be one that is properly presented in the context of the Applicant’s particular experience, business track record, and supporting credentials.

  • Investors Immigration

Investors must demonstrate experience in controlling or directing a successful business venture and show that minimum net worth and investment requirements are met. Investments are made for a minimum five year term in secured government funds, which are passive in nature and original investment is returned to the client at the end of the investment period.

  • Entrepreneur Immigration

Effective July 1, 2011, the Entrepreneur Program has been placed on hold and is no longer accepting new applicants.

Entrepreneurs must show the intention and ability to establish, purchase or make a substantial investment in a business or commercial venture in Canada that will significantly contribute to the economy and create at least one job for a Canadian citizen or permanent resident other than the Applicant or a family member.

  • Self Employed Immigration

Self Employed Persons must show the intention and ability to establish a business in Canada that will create employment for themselves and that will make a significant contribution to the economic, cultural or artistic life of Canada.
