Canadian Experience Class
Permanent Resident Canada | Immigration To Canada
Do I Qualify?
The Canadian Experience Class was instated on September 17, 2008. Generally, the Class is open to:
- Anyone who has completed a program of study of at least two years and thereafter worked in Canada for at least one year
- OR
- Anyone who has completed two years of work in Canada
The applicants must have carried out work outlined in the Skill Type O Management Occupations or Skill Level A or B Professional, Skilled or Trades Occupations of the National Occupational Classification Matrix.
Benefits Of The Canadian Experience Class
Applicants under the Canadian Experience Class do not have to pass an immigration point system assessment. They only need to show that they have completed the minimum number of years of study or work in Canada, and that they speak English or French at a proficiency level that corresponds to their skill level. Further, they have the advantage of priority processing, with applications under this class being processed faster than other Skilled Professional applications.
